Veterinarians

Qualification: BVSc
Dr. Colin took over a fledgling Practice in October 1997 in the Honey Junction Shopping Centre alongside Pick-n-Pay. With the help of dedicated, loyal staff & a superb friendly clientele, Radiokop Animal Clinic is where it is today. He is on the Committee of the JHB Branch of the SAVA & is organiser of the biannual Kennel Staff Soccer Day. Dr Colin is married to Mandy & they have a son, Chezre` & a daughter, Kelsey. Dr Colin is a Mad Dad!

Dr. Philip is one of the partners in our practice. He joined Radiokop Animal Clinic in 2008. He spent 15 years of his life travelling to various corners of the world seeking exotic animals and birds to observe and photograph, in-between practicing as a full-time vet. He is passionate about internal medicine of small animals, exotic animal medicine and surgery. He has gained valuable experience over the last 20 years in these fields, both in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He compliments our team with his broad knowledge base and expertise. Dr Philip is married with two children.

Dr Caitlyn joined us in 2015. She is very energetic and compassionate, she is eager to assist at all times. Dr Caitlyn has an interest in surgery and exotic animals. She enjoys wildlife photography and camping holidays.

Qualification: BVSc
Dr Robyn qualified in 2015, before spending a year completing Community Service in a rural village of the Eastern Cape. She then moved back to Johannesburg to join our team in January 2017. She is passionate about caring for your pets, and enjoys both Small Animals and Exotics. She enjoys taking her dogs for walks, and does ballroom dancing in her free time. She looks to assisting you and your animal companions.

Dr Hanli Marx is the newest member of our team of vets. She qualified in 2017. When she is not taking great care of your pets, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking and camping.

Dr Alison Cook is our locum while Dr Caitlyn is on maternity leave. Dr Alison has been a very regular visitor at the practice for many years, having spent her holidays from vet school gaining practical experience in our clinic. She qualified in 2016. During her spare time she enjoys martial arts, rock climbing and photography.
Kennel Staff

Tafewa has been with the Practice since Day 1. He is a dedicated Rastafarian with values & loyalty that outshine most. He puts much into little & he leaves a lasting impression on clients & staff alike. He is a Morocco Swallows supporter.

Lizwi joined the team in September 2010. He is ever smiling, & ever dedicated to the job on hand, always keen to learn from anyone who gives him the time of day and he is a Kaizer Chiefs supporter.

Stanley joined our team in January 2016. He is always ready to help with a smile. Stanley joined us with prior experience and has been a compliment to the staff in our Practice. He has a great sense of humour and work ethic.

Nathi joined us in 2013. He is very eager to learn all that he can and is very soft and gentle with the pets. He supports Orlando Pirates.
Receptionists

Cherise Klein has been receptionist since 2000 & is the most suitable person to handle the madness and rush. She shows an enormous capacity for compassion to our patients. Cherise is married to Eric and they have a gorgeous daughter Laura born in 2013.

Lisa joined us in May 2016. She has a very kind and gentle approach toward both the owner and their animal companions. She is dedicated to her work and is compassionate in all her interactions. She is always eager to assist in anything asked of her.

Jackie joined us in May 2020 as our afternoon receptionist. She is always ready to greet everyone visiting our practice with a smile. Jackie is from the Eastern Cape and is enjoying the Jhb vibe.

Charzane joined us in May 2020, having worked in a number of other practices beforehand. She is a bubbly, enthusiastic person who is always willing to assist. Charzane runs our PetSlimmer program, keeping your pets in great shape.
Support Staff

Pretzel is our practice cat. He came to us as a stray during lockdown and was never claimed, so he now makes sure everyone behaves and brings him plenty of snacks. He is a very lovable cat and is a welcome distraction during our busy days.

Alison has been with the practice for many years as the bookkeeper, and more recently as the office manager. In her spare time she trains for triathlon and does fun agility training with her border collies.

Ashlin joined us in January 2019. She is our very dedicated nurse who assists our doctors in taking great care of your furry & feathered friends. She is married to Dom and lives with her large pet family. In her spare time Ashlin grooms pets, enjoys arts & crafts, and does pole dancing.
